NABREC has been established for the purpose of allowing former staff of the National Australia Bank to maintain relationships that have been built over many years during their working careers.

Membership is open to all former NAB employees who served with the Bank for at least 15 years or with the founding banks, the National Bank of Australasia Limited (NBA) and The Commercial Banking Company of Sydney Limited (CBC Bank). Partners of former staff too, are most welcome to join.

Join us on the second Tuesday of each month (except January and July) at 11.15am at "The Arena", Ground floor, 700 Bourke Street, Docklands (Adjacent to Marvel Stadium) for our meeting and guest speaker.  Easy access by public transport directly opposite at Southern Cross railway station. Guest speakers usually accompany the meeting for short interesting presentations.  Lucky door prizes.  Drinks with nibbles are served after the meeting.

MARTIN, Edwin Daryl  
7/8/1928 to 30/9/2020
Peacefully at Cabrini Prahran. Only son of Charles and Ruby (dec), Beloved little brother of Lona and June. Loved and loving husband of June. Loving father and father-in-law of Jan & Trevor, Cathy & Faye and Sue & Eric. Proud Cramps of Tim, David, Curran and Marina. Loving friend of Amanda. He will be so sadly missed by all his family and friends, and the purveyors of ice cream, and classical music. There will be a party for Daryl, as he requested, in the future.

Son of Arvīds and Marianna (both dec), Husband of Barbara, Father of Andrew, Robert and Darren, Grandfather of Angus, Father-in-law to Helen and Alae.

The President and members of the Rotary Club of Wheelers Hill were saddened at the passing of Past President Uldis PHF on 21 September 2020. Uldis was a member of our club for 38 years, a fine man and outstanding Rotarian.
Our deepest sympathy is extended to Barbara and family.

Obituary notices that have appeared in our newsletter have been archived into a PDF document.  To enhance Obituary notices we would love you to forward a passport size photo, preferably one from your working days at NAB, for storage with us in a secured external hard drive.  Send the photo to nabrec2@hotmail.com

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Due to the current public health issues surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak, your Committee has made the regretful decision to cancel both the Committee and Member’s meetings until further notice.

We have not made this decision lightly, and have done so with the best intentions for the health and well being of our members. Your health is our prime consideration during this time.

We are taking a month by month approach.   We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed.

If any of our members require any assistance, please reach out to us and we will see how we can assist you. You are all in our thoughts at this time.
